Brown Bag Lunch Series - Healthy kids

Learn how one county created a comprehensive healthcare coverage for kids. Join a discussion on how we can bring this type of program to Monterey County.

After two years of planning and fundraising, the Healthy Kids Health Plan began July 2004. More than 1500 children now have access to health care. Another 2400 youngsters were enrolled in MediCal and Healthy Families as a result of their outreach coalition activities!

Directions:

From the Peninsula, take Hwy 1, take the 12th Street exit and drive east (going into the former Ft Ord). This road becomes Imjin Parkway. Pass the first Abrams intersection; (there is construction and no traffic can drive through). Turn left at the second intersection with Abrams, which has a signal light and Ord Market on your right. Turn right on McArthur.

From Salinas, take Blanco to Reservation Road in Marina/Ft Ord, turn left at the light onto Imjin Parkway (going into the former Ft Ord). At the light, turn right on Abrams, then right onto McArthur.
