Building an Empowered and Just Community
Join leaders from nonprofit, public and private sector organizations for this day of interactive workshops and discussion. Participants will gain awareness of the diverse cultural beliefs, behaviors and needs presented by consumers and acquire knowledge and skills necessary to adapt their practice to ensure effectiveness of service delivery. A panel discussion by community leaders will provide an opportunity to bring it all together and form the basis of an ongoing discussion beyond the conference.

• Ann Jealous, MFT, Educator, consultant and speaker on
cultural competency and diversity
• Margaret Keith, BA, Coordinator, Student Disability Resources,

• Matthew Mock, Ph.D., Director, Center for Multicultural
Development, California Institute for Mental Health
